The National Association for Proton Therapy has quickly transitioned our annual conference to a virtual event to ensure the safety of our attendees and the community. We believe it is vital to offer our members and the proton therapy community an opportunity to connect, stay engaged and share important information and resources especially during this critical time. What is a virtual conference?

A virtual conference is hosted entirely over the Internet. It will allow attendees to access live and hear presentations from their computers. Attendees participate through a conference website designed specifically for the virtual conference. The site is where you will watch conference presentations and participate with questions and comments in real time.

Who should attend?

Physicians, nurses, therapist, administrators, vendors, developers, contractors, and anyone interested in Proton Beam Therapy. Is your health system considering proton therapy? This is the opportunity to meet technology partners, learn about this technology and connect with experts in the field. Because no travel is required and the conference is accessible from computers, iPads, and even cell phones, it is a great opportunity for first time attendees to learn about the proton therapy community. Need approval to attend? Are there group rates?

Take advantage of our group discount. More members of your team can participate and learn during the live event and have access to presentations and exhibitors until August 31st, 2020. Purchase 10 registrations and receive 5 complimentary registrations. What are the technical requirements needed to participate?

To participate, you need an Internet connection and web browser. For the best viewing experience, we recommend that you join the conference using a supported internet browser, which includes Google Chrome, Firefox, and Safari. Internet Explorer is not recommended as some functions, such as chat, are not fully supported. Live support is available throughout the day if you have any issues with connecting.

How do I make sure I'm receiving email communications for NAPT 2020?

We have recently upgraded our communications platform. Please take these steps make sure you're opted-in to receive important NAPT2020 information.

  1. Opt-in below to confirm your email address. This is helpful to do even if you have received email from us previously.

  3. Check your SPAM/Junk folder to see if you have missed a message from us recently.

What happens once I register?

Once you register, you will receive a confirmation email. We will send you updated and log in information before we go live on Friday July 24th.

Can I meet with vendors at the virtual conference?

Yes! You will have access to our Innovation Hall where you can live chat and meet leaders in proton therapy technology. You will be able to download resources and set up meetings with all of our exhibitors. You will also be able to revisit all the booths until August 31st although live chat will only be available on Friday July 24th.

How much do I need to pay to register for the virtual conference?

Due to the generous support of our sponsors and exhibitors, we are offering this educational event for the nominal fee of $150 for NAPT members and $200 for non-members. NAPT is a nonprofit organization and our registration fees offset the cost of the virtual meeting and support our efforts to educate and increase awareness of the clinical benefits of proton beam therapy and offer resources to the community.

Are the sessions live or recorded?

The sessions will be Simulive. This means our presenters have thoughtfully recorded the presentations to ensure the highest quality experience and at the end of the presentation, our presenters will be live answering questions and participating in moderated discussions.

If I register for the conference, will I receive access to the session recordings?

Yes, registrants will receive free access to the session recordings until August 31, 2020 and

are able to download the presentations during this time frame.

How do I connect with peers at the conference?

We are offering a networking lounge and encourage you to meet peers and connect with others at the meeting to develop professional relationships with leaders and experts in this field.

What time zone are the streamed sessions shown?

The conference starts at 9:00am Eastern Standard Time. Registered attendees can access the sessions anytime from July 24th to August 31st. However, on the live day, registered attendees have the opportunity to ask questions to the speakers, live chat with vendors in our Innovation Hall and connect with peers in the Networking Lounge.
